Day 1 - Drive around the Gorges du Verdon

Day 2 - Explore the Gorges from the water and relax at the campsite

Morning: boat, canoe or paddleboard

After this first glimpse from the road, set off to discover the gorges from the water. Allow around 25 minutes from the campsite to reach the Pont de Galetas, where rentals begin.

On site, several options are available: electric boat, canoe, pedal boat or paddleboard.

Even though the distance is only 3 km, the scenery is impressive, with steep cliffs, turquoise water and a real feeling of total immersion.
In high season, plan a departure early in the morning, as there is no booking system, and the light is better for photos.
Pets are allowed on electric boats, which makes the activity even easier for families.

Back at the campsite: relaxation and heated swimming pool

In the afternoon, treat yourself to a moment of rest by the heated pool, with sun loungers and a pleasant area to unwind. Before 4 pm, it is often very quiet, as most holidaymakers are still out sightseeing.

Friendly evening: pétanque tournament

In the evening, the campsite hosts a pétanque tournament every Tuesday, open to everyone. Boules are provided, and teams are formed by random draw, in a spirit of sharing and meeting new people, without pressure or competition.

Day 3 - Hiking in the Basses Gorges and villages of the Haut-Var

Day 4 - Enjoy Lake Sainte-Croix

Bauduen: secluded coves and swimming

For a day by the water, head to Bauduen, around 15 minutes from the campsite. As you follow the lakeshore, you can find a secluded cove, perfect for a swim or a picnic by the water. Pets are allowed, making it easy to include them in the day out.

The preserved Sulagran site

Another option is the Sulagran site, on the road to Baudinard. After parking your vehicle, a 100 m walk downhill takes you to a quiet, natural and little-visited spot.

The wide Galetas beaches

For those who prefer open spaces, the area around the Galetas beaches offers plenty of room to settle in and enjoy the view, while still keeping a sense of space.

Day 5 - Canyoning or aquatic hiking

Meet Explore Aventure at the campsite

Every Sunday at midday, the campsite hosts a welcome drink, giving you the chance to meet Frédéric from Explore Aventure and book a canyoning or aquatic hiking activity.

Family-friendly activities

  • Canyoning from age 8, for a half-day or full-day
  • Aquatic hiking from age 6, suitable for young children

Meeting points vary between Comps-sur-Artuby, La Palud-sur-Verdon and Trigance, depending on the chosen route.
These experiences let you discover the gorges from the water in a setting that is guided, safe and friendly.

A gentler experience

For a less sporty option, aquatic hiking can be done on iconic routes, such as the Samson corridor.

Day 6 - Sporty hikes or an easy walk from the campsite

Challenging hikes for experienced walkers

Experienced hikers can head for well-known routes in the area:

  • Grand Margès
  • Col de Plein Voir
  • Col d’Illoire
  • Sentier Blanc-Martel, which requires a shuttle or two vehicles

These hikes offer spectacular viewpoints, but require good physical fitness.

A friendly walk starting from the campsite

For a more accessible outing, join the pedibus organised on Friday morning, departing from L’Oasis du Verdon. The route leads to the Croix des Pins, with views over Aups and the valley, before returning for cool drinks and Provençal specialities.

Day 7 - Final moments at Camping Oasis Verdon and souvenirs

Regional products and local crafts

Before leaving, enjoy the peace and quiet of the campsite or go and pick up a few souvenirs. Very close by, the Gervasoni olive oil mill and the shops in Aups offer regional products and handmade local items.

Provençal market and souvenirs at the campsite

You can also stroll through the Aups market, held on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, or find at the campsite reception Molly Club magnets, posters and mugs, which children love.

« Excellent campsite!
Family, calm and quality. In addition, it is a 15-minute walk from the city centre and a half-hour drive from the activities of the Gorges du Verdon. The managers are friendly and very welcoming. They bend over backwards to help campers. For example, I rented a barbecue twice and the manager dropped it off and systematically picked it up at my location without asking for anything. The animation team is at its best, my partner loved aquafun and my son really enjoyed the night treasure hunt. We had some great fried mussels. To put it simply, I had already eaten some of the less good ones elsewhere, but I don't remember tasting any better ones. In short... I recommend L'Oasis du Verdon and it is with great pleasure that I will return with my family! »

«Natura VIP
A very quiet and clean campsite with a beautiful swimming pool and enough to let the children cycle quietly on the whole site. The owners are very kind and always available. Natura VIP accommodation at the top and very relaxing. I really recommend this campsite for a great time with the family! »

★★★★★

« A very pleasant, quiet and family campsite offering quality entertainment that encourages conviviality between holidaymakers. The owners and the animators are attentive to the well-being of the residents and ensure that the rules of good conduct are respected. The mobile home was impeccable when we arrived. The proximity of the village is particularly appreciable (we used to walk to the market) and the various points of interest in the region are only a few kilometres away. Note: a varied catering service offering excellent cuisine. We'll come back next year! »
