Paragliding is one of the activities to enjoy in the Verdon. What makes paragliding unique is the take-off, which happens from a high point such as a mountain, dune or cliff. With their towering cliffs and surrounding pre-Alpine ranges, the Gorges du Verdon are particularly well suited to paragliding, especially as breathtaking scenery and a deep sense of freedom take precedence over pure adrenaline in this sport. Unlike skydiving, paragliding is also an accessible leisure activity for everyone, requiring no special physical condition and suitable for children.
In tandem flights, anyone who dreams of experiencing the thrill of flight and wide-open spaces can take off paragliding: children, seniors and people with reduced mobility. Only minimum and maximum weight limits may apply, for balance and wing control reasons.
It is also easy to train to fly solo in the Gorges du Verdon, as no pilot licence or certification is required. Paragliding is also known to be well tolerated by people who usually suffer from vertigo. Both take-off and flight are gentle and relaxing.
Discover the Gorges du Verdon from a unique and privileged perspective with a paragliding discovery flight!
Flights take place in tandem, accompanied by an instructor who will take you into the air under a two-seater paraglider wing, allowing you to experience all the sensations, usually over around twenty minutes.
No technical knowledge or sporting ability is required, simply let yourself drift above the surreal landscape of the Gorges du Verdon.
Several types of discovery flights are available: classic and gentle 20-minute flights, longer options, as well as flights including a technical introduction to piloting.
“Thrill” flights are designed for adrenaline lovers: during these, the pilot performs acrobatic manoeuvres and dives in the air, guaranteed to raise the heart rate of those seeking maximum excitement.
After your first flight, you may feel tempted to enjoy more paragliding flights in the Gorges du Verdon, or even join an introductory course.
Introductory and advanced training courses take place over several days: an original and unforgettable themed stay in the Verdon while camping!

Take-off takes place from the Montdenier site.
The 20-minute tandem discovery flight costs €90 per person, with a €20 supplement to receive the flight video on an SD card.
The one-hour tandem flight costs €150 per person, and the discovery day ranges from €160 to €220 depending on the package (training slope session + 20-minute or one-hour flight).
