The Provencal markets represent a lot for the region and it seems inconceivable to spend holidays in the Verdon without having seen many. True pride for all the inhabitants of the area, they are also a symbol of the Provençal art of living and all have for common points to offer moments of sharing and fraternity as to encourage meetings between people from all walks of life. They are simply markets of tradition, essential, inimitable and who know how to reinvent themselves once the summer comes to satisfy the tourists in addition to the usual customers. Among the specialties to discover as quickly as possible are a selection of wines, mainly rosés, Cavaillon melons, famous throughout France, a wide choice of candied fruit from Apt, as well as garlic and tomatoes, all from the region and being of a quality that is no longer to prove.

Agenda of Provence markets

Several markets of Provence take place during the summer and they propose all different products, at different times of the week:

Aups : Every Wednesday and Saturday morning, he specializes in white truffles.

Cotignac : Every Tuesday morning, it is a food market with a wide choice of cold cuts in the shade of plane trees.

Lorgues : Every Tuesday morning, it invites more than 100 exhibitors and their local products.

Montmeyan : Every Tuesday and Friday morning, it is a small market on a human scale with less than 10 exhibitors.

Régusse : Every Sunday morning, it is located in the yard Alexandre Gariel and also presents less than 10 exhibitors.

Salernes : Every Wednesday and Sunday morning, it is a large market that offers local food and non-food products.

Tourtour : Every Wednesday and Saturday morning in the Place des Ormeaux, this market of about 20 exhibitors is best known for its fruits and vegetables.

Villecroze : Every Thursday morning, this market of 40 exhibitors offers local and especially seasonal products.

« Excellent campsite!
Family, calm and quality. In addition, it is a 15-minute walk from the city centre and a half-hour drive from the activities of the Gorges du Verdon. The managers are friendly and very welcoming. They bend over backwards to help campers. For example, I rented a barbecue twice and the manager dropped it off and systematically picked it up at my location without asking for anything. The animation team is at its best, my partner loved aquafun and my son really enjoyed the night treasure hunt. We had some great fried mussels. To put it simply, I had already eaten some of the less good ones elsewhere, but I don't remember tasting any better ones. In short... I recommend L'Oasis du Verdon and it is with great pleasure that I will return with my family! »

The proximity of the village is particularly appreciable (we used to walk to the market) and the various points of interest in the region are only a few kilometres away.
