Aiguines Castle
In the heart of the Verdon Regional Nature Park, the Château d’Aiguines towers over Lake Sainte-Croix with its majestic silhouette.
A former medieval bastide restored in the early 17th century in the Renaissance style, the building is now privately owned. Notable for its massive square structure, lightened by four corner towers, the Château d’Aiguines has undergone a beautiful restoration: its roof, covered with glazed tiles from Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, makes it stand out from afar along the shores of Lake Sainte-Croix.
The castle is not open to visitors, but the site offers a breathtaking panoramic view that is well worth the detour.
