The Caves of Villecroze
The Villecroze Caves are located 8 kilometers from the Verdon campground and are particularly well-known for being troglodytic caves—that is, caves carved directly into the rock.

These caves were formed 700,000 years ago, at the end of the last ice age, and bear witness to a distant past. The Villecroze Caves are located in the municipal park and extend over five levels, all of which are open to the public depending on the season.
They have several distinctive features, such as mullioned windows and arrowslits. Inside the caves are columns that were once stalactites, now shaped by the passage of time. Near the Villecroze Caves lies the famous waterfall, which adds to the beauty of a wooded park at the foot of the cliff.
In addition to all the natural beauty this area has to offer, two works by Jean Laugier, an artist from Draguignan, add the finishing touch to the setting.
